Investigators with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department ruled that a house fire in the 4900 block of Bristow Drive in Annandale on April 27 was deliberately set. Clinton James Hall, 27, was charged with arson.

The fire was started on the porch of the three-story, single-family home shortly before 12 p.m. There were no injuries. Damages are estimated at $461,480.

A dog alerted the two occupants, and they all got out before the smoke alarms were activated. The residents accepted assistance from the Red Cross.

One response to “Annandale house fire caused by arson

  1. The Red Cross provides (I think) $200 per person after a fire to help pay for a hotel and things like that. When we had a fire some years ago they helped us. We didn’t even know we needed it! Each year I donate to the local American Red Cross.
