Annandale HS principal will retire
Randazzo |
Annandale High School Principal Vince Randazzo announced May 22 plans to retire later this summer.
“I have enjoyed working with you, and the entire Annandale family, to build a school of which we can all be proud,” Randazzo wrote in an email to the AHS community. “I thank everyone who has worked so hard to ensure our students have the best education and are successful graduates.”
Randazzo says he plans to “spend more time with family and pursue new and different opportunities.”
Fabio Zuluaga, Fairfax County Public Schools region 2 assistant superintendent, says, his goal, with the support of Superintendent Karen Garza, is to have a new principal in place before the beginning of the next school year. In a message to the community, he says, “in the next couple of weeks, we will provide additional information on how you can offer your individual input regarding the skills, experience, and leadership characteristics needed for the next principal of Annandale High School.”
There sounds as if there is more to this story. It seems fishy that he will be pursing other interest.
