Annandale real estate market holding steady

The real estate market in Annandale (zip code 22003) appeared to be sluggish in April 2014, according to data provided by realtor Vivianne Couts of Coldwell Banker.

The dollar volume of homes sold last month was up just 1.27 percent, the average home price ($474,100) is down 4.8 percent, the average median price ($477,500) is up 5.5 percent, and the average number of days it takes to sell a home is up 78 percent compared to April 2013.

While the average price of detached homes sold last month is up 5.7 percent from April 2013, the average price of attached homes sold is down 23.5 percent. A total of 50 units were sold last month, compared to 47 in April 2013.

Among the houses sold last month, one was in the $1 million to $2.49 million category and four were in the $800,000 to $1 million category.
