Annandale residents got a great view of the military flyover

Dan Rosenstein shot the flyerover as passed by his home in Bailey’s Crossroads.

A
couple of Annandale Blog readers got some great photos of the U.S. Navy’s Blue
Angels and U.S. Air Force’s Thunderbirds flying over Fairfax County this
morning.

Larry Golfer got this shot as the jets passed over Lake Barcroft.
The 20-minute flyover in the D.C. area was part of the military’s “America Strong” salute to healthcare workers and other first responders on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic. The flyover consisted of a formation of six F-16C/D Fighting Falcon and six F/A-18C/D Hornet aircraft.

Another great photo by Larry Golfer.

  1. WOW!! AMAZING SHOTS!! I feel like an idiot that I slept through this. I dreampt of jets flying over me so I heard them in my sleep. Staying up way too late lately. Soo grateful for the blog pics & videos I saw on Nextdoor.
