Annandale Rotary Club forges close relationship with Northern Virginia Community College

The Annandale Rotary Club has donated $300 to the Rotaract Club at the Northern Virginia Community College’s Annandale campus to support the club’s food bank for needy students.
The NVCC Rotaract Club, sponsored by the Annandale Rotary Club, provides an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better human relations worldwide through a framework of friendship and service. Roteract stands for “Rotary in Action.”
The Annandale Rotary Club also raises money each year to support three $2,000 scholarships for NVCC students.
The club has been serving the Annandale community since 1965. It meets for a weekly luncheon every Wednesday, 12:15 p.m., at the Juke Box Diner in Annandale.
The Annandale Rotary Club recently launched a second venue on the Annandale campus of NVCC for members who can’t get to the regular meetings. The NVCC group meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month, 7:30 a.m., at the Brault administration building.
