Annandale Terrace Elementary School hosts Back-to-School Fair

The 50th anniversary celebration at Annandale Terrace.

Public elementary schools in Fairfax County generally host an orientation session for students before the start of a new school year and a back-to-school night for parents several weeks later. Annandale Terrace Elementary School is doing something different. It’s having a Back-to-School Fair, combining both activities,  on Thursday, Sept. 3.

The Annandale Terrace event, 4-6:30
p.m., will give students and parents an opportunity to meet teachers, visit
classrooms, and enjoy some fun activities on the Thursday before the 2015-16 school year gets under way on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Families
will be able to drop off school supplies, tour the school, review the school’s
new schedule, enjoy dinner from a food truck, play games, experience Zumba, and
explore a fire engine, police cruiser, and school bus. There will be giveaways
and prizes. The
Annandale Terrace community, including former staff and alumni, celebrated the schools 50th anniversary in June.

  1. Mason Crest is doing this as well, per its website.

I am not clear if these events are for the whole family, or just for the parents?
