Audrey Moore aquatics director charged with a sex crime

Fairfax County Police arrested the aquatics director at the Audrey Moore Rec Center for inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile employee.
Police were called to the rec center, at 8100 Braddock Road in Annandale, shortly before 11 a.m. on June 8 for a report about a sex offense.

The complainant reported that a juvenile employee disclosed having inappropriate contact with the aquatics director.
Detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit determined that Nicholas Ambrose, 28, of Alexandria, had unlawful contact with the juvenile on one occasion.
On June 11, Ambrose was arrested and charged with one count of “indecent liberties by a custodian” and has since been released. Ambrose is no longer employed by the Fairfax County Park Authority.
Staff from the FCPD’s Victim Services Division are providing resources and assistance to the victim.
