Bailey’s XRoads Rotary Club will bring a classic Mustang to the Taste of Annandale
The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club, a Gold Sponsor of the Taste of Annandale, is bringing the classic Mustang convertible they’re raffling off to the April 29 event.
The fully restored 1966 Mustang has power front disc brakes, steel wheels, power steering, automatic transmission with overdrive, and air conditioning, says the club’s president-elect, Juanita Ballenger. The color is described as “amber glow. The interior is amber glow and white pony, and it has a white canvas power top.

Raffle tickets are $25 each or five for $100. The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club will hold the drawing at the City of Fairfax Fall Festival on Oct. 14. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
The first-place winner can choose the car or a cash prize of $20,000. The second and third-place winners will each get $500.
This is the Bailey’s club’s 37th annual Mustang raffle fundraiser.
The proceeds support a variety of community organizations and projects, including:
- The Annandale Christian Community for Action
- The Bailey’s Shelter and Supportive Housing
- The Bailey’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department
- The English Empowerment Center
- Fairfax County Public Schools and student scholarships
- The Fairfax County Parks Foundation
- Fairfax County services for older adults and people with disabilities
- The Fisher House for families of veterans undergoing medical treatments
- Local food packaging events during inclement weather for those in need
- Programs run by the Mason Police District, including the toy and pajama drive for children in Bailey’s Crossroads
- The Fairfax County Police Department’s Santa’s Ride toy collection for hospitalized children.
The Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club supports a lot of activities in the Justice High School pyramid, including include music and speech contests, gift cards to families for Thanksgiving, and the Great Assembly, where volunteers fill backpacks with school supplies.

“People support the car raffle because they know it’s not just about winning a car. They realize they are going to be helping people in need,” Ballenger says.
Some members of the Bailey’s Crossroads Rotary Club live or work in Annandale. “We value our relationship with the Annandale Rotary Club,” she says. “We’re participating in the Taste of Annandale to support the Annandale community.”
