Bank robbery in Bailey’s Crossroads


The Sun Trust Bank inside the Safeway at
Crossroads Center in Bailey’s Crossroads was robbed on Aug. 9, the Fairfax
County Police Department reports. A man entered at 2:18 p.m. and passed a note
to an employee demanding money and implying that he had a weapon. 

The suspect
took cash and fled. There were no injuries. The suspect was described as a
black male in his 30s, about 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches tall.

On Aug. 8, there was a robbery on the 3200
block of Allen Street, Falls Church, near the Thomas Jefferson Library. A man
was walking when he was approached by three men in a vehicle. Two of the men
assaulted the him, took his property, then fled. The victim suffered non-life-threatening
injuries. The suspect was described as black, in his 20s, and about 5 feet 11
inches tall.

  1. Why are you reporting the alleged race of the alleged criminals? Are you intending to continue the sterotyping of African-Americans as criminals? Please stop doing this; in this case informing the public is trumpt by maintaining the excellent state of race relations established by our "historic" President. Don't give up on "Hope and Change."
