Beauty institute expands in Annandale

KH offers a long list of beauty and esthetic services in this building.

The KH Beauty and Esthetic Institute just opened in Annandale a few months ago and has already expanded.

“KH” stands for owner Katy Hennessey. She opened a beauty academy and clinic at 7224 Columbia Pike in June.

She recently took over the vacant storefront a couple of doors down on Columbia Pike, previously occupied by Agnes Home Healthcare. Hennessey is using that building for personal care services, such as facials, acrylic and gel nails, nail design, massages, eyelash extensions, and many other treatments.

Their main building, at the corner of Annandale Road, is the KH beauty academy, offering classes for nail technicians, eyebrow and lash technicians, medical assistants, cosmetologists, and estheticians.

Classes are available in-person, online, and in Spanish, says Leonardo Arzuza, Katy’s husband, who takes care of the administrative aspects of the company.

This building at 7224 Columbia Pike was previously a Korean fashion boutique.

There’s also a small shop in that building featuring beauty products and KH’s own Mamacita brand of shapewear designed and manufactured in Colombia. Eventually, they hope to open more locations.
