Beauty school and salon to open in Annandale

The future home of the KH Beauty & Esthetics Institute.

A cosmetology school is expected to open in June on the corner of Columbia Pike and Annandale Road in central Annandale.

The KH Beauty & Esthetics Institute is located in the building formerly occupied by Thauma Korean Fashion.

The owner, Katy Hennessey, plans to offer classes leading to certifications in cosmetology, acrylic nails, and eyelash and eyebrow procedures.

Hennessey owns the KH Esthetic Clinic at 701 W. Broad St. in Falls Church.

The facility will also provide professional certification classes for medical assistants, phlebotomy technicians, and EKG technicians.

Classes will be in Spanish and English, depending on the needs of the students.

In addition, the KH Beauty Institute will offer esthetic services for the public, including facials, body treatments, eyebrow design and shaping, eyelash lifting and extensions, manicures, pedicures, hair extensions, and hair treatments.

  1. Am I the only person that thinks of the song from the musical Grease? I wish them good fortune, even if this “triggered” a childhood and childish memory for me.
