Blazin Halal hosts a block party
Blazin Halal, a fast casual eatery in Annandale, is hosting a NYC to NOVA Block Party on Sunday, Aug. 10, 4-8 p.m.
The event is billed as “NYC flavor meets NOVA energy with early 2000s throwback vibes.”
Blazin Halal, located at 4367 John Marr Drive, Annandale, in the East Gate Shopping Center, specializes in “bold street-style eats from Queens, with a DMV twist, including their signature jerk chicken.”

Pro boxer Troy Isley will be at the block party, signing autographs and posing for selfies. Isley, known as “Transformer,” won 15 out of 15 bouts and is credited with five knockouts.
A DJ will spin early 2000s throwback hits. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase next door at Garden Social and Glam Karaoke.
