Broadway Desserts this weekend at Annandale HS
Annandale High School’s 16th Annual Broadway Desserts opens this Thursday, with additional shows on Friday and Saturday. Enjoy an entertaining evening while showing your support for talented local youths.
This cabaret-style show, presented by the school’s Choral Department, features popular songs from hit Broadway musicals, such as “Godspell,” “West Side Story,” “My Fair Lady,” “Gypsy,” ”Hairspray,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Dreamgirls,” “Camelot,” “Seussical,” “Chicago,” and “Grease.” The “dessert” part refers to the tasty treats served during the performances.
The shows, in the AHS Watson Auditoriums, are 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23; 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 24; and 2 and 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 25. The Saturday matinee includes guest performances by the choirs from Poe and Holmes middle schools. Seating for the shows is 30 minutes prior to show time.
Tickets for the evening shows are $15 in advance and $20. The matinee is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online with PayPal.
