Cars shot again in Bailey’s Crossroads
Someone fired at cars in a parking lot at 5516 Leesburg Pike at 8:46 p.m. on Dec. 28 during a car meet-up. Two people sustained minor injuries, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.
The event was organized by a group called Capital Mischief which hosts weekly Taco Tuesday car meet-ups.
Police believe that incident is linked to two previous cases in the past six months when firearms were discharged at parking lots near the 5500 block of Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads.
Capital Mischief stated on Instagram that the shots came from a high-powered air rifle in an apartment across the street. “There was no violence that happened at the car meet, as the individual was not at the meet, but across the street and several stories up.”

According to the FCPD, the shots, from a BB gun or pellet gun, were directed at officers. No officers were struck. They have not confirmed where the shots came from.
This incident is similar to what happened at a car meet in the same location on the evening of July 16. A community member reported his vehicle had been struck by an unknown projectile. The vehicle received damage consistent with what detectives believed to be gunfire. Someone else at the car meet sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The second incident occurred at 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 23 in the 3500 block of S. Jefferson Street, just west of the 5500 block of Leesburg Pike. Two community members said their cars had been struck by gunfire. No one was injured during this incident.
Anyone with information about either of these incidents should call the FCPS’s Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 0. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Solvers.
So over this constant bombardment of terrible news regarding the actions from the scum of the earth. Can someone please get rid of this human trash. It’s beginning to suffocate us.
Which ethnic group(s) are you having a cleanse urge towards today, hmm? Just for the record please.
Bet you could find more than 100 people here in Baileys Crossroads that wanted to be the shooter. Car shows are great, but some of the people going to the shows with their illegal modifications, are ruining the quality of life in Fairfax county. The dumbass woke cops will do nothing to stop the speeders and the excessive noise that is being created that wake people up at all hours of the day. A new law was passed in 2022 and the police will not enforce it.
What an F up County that can’t control the police. I bet you feel really safe now!
Police could be checking plates and licenses for outstanding arrest warrants – running red teams to bust drug sellers. These “car meetings’ are usually in poorer areas where police don’t really patrol – just respond.. places that were once stable, residential neighborhoods with families and safe parks and commerce. Instead we’re busy changing laws to allow overcrowding- and not holding county officials and staff accountable.
