Child dies after falling out of apartment window

A 3-year-old boy died after falling from a window in an apartment at Skyline Towers at 5601 Seminary Road in Bailey’s Crossroads, the Fairfax County Police Department  reports. The boy was with family members when he fell from an open but screened bedroom window at about 6 p.m. on May 30. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. An investigation is under way.
