Chinese restaurant coming to Seven Corners

Renovations are underway to transform this building into a restaurant.

The small office building at 6320 Castle Place in Seven Corners is going to be transformed into a Chinese restaurant. Wei Wang, the owner/developer, says it could open as early as summer 2014. It will
have a full bar but other details haven’t been finalized.

Wang owns two Chalin’s restaurants, formerly known as Charlie Chiang’s, in Washington, D.C., and five other Chinese restaurants in Maryland and Virginia, including New China King in Vienna and Far East Kitchen in Fairfax.

Wang purchased the two-story, 10,760-square foot building in November 2012 for $1.6 million from Craig Maniglia, the owner of MVI Post, a family-owned post-production media company that filed for bankruptcy in 2009.

  1. Very curious to see what kind of restaurant winds up at a location like this: a large two-story building hidden from view of main roads with many top-shelf Chinese options mere blocks away.
