Crime report: shooting, stabbing, robbery

The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following crimes in the Bailey’s Crossroads and Seven Corners areas during the past week. 

There was a shooting at 6 a.m. on June 28 in the 6100 block of Willston Drive. The victim said he was approached from behind by two men who displayed handguns then shot him in the leg. The victim was treated at the hospital for injuries not considered life threatening.

There was a stabbing on Leesburg Pike shortly after 6 p.m. on June 28. A man was arguing with staff from a nearby business when the victim attempted to intervene. The man stabbed the victim in the upper body and ran from the store. 

Billy Everett, 58, of Alexandria, was found nearby and arrested. He was charged with malicious wounding. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life threatening.

Three men approached a victim in the 6000 block of Bellview Drive, displayed guns, and demanded property at 8:20 p.m. on June 28. They assaulted the victim, and one suspect discharged his firearm but did not strike the victim. The victim reported injuries that were not life threatening.

A community member reported hearing several gunshots from the parking lot in the 2900 block of Patrick Henry Drive at 9:20 p.m. on June 28. Officers found a vehicle that had been damaged and cartridge cases nearby. There were no injuries. 

Someone found a bullet lodged in a staircase in the 6200 block of Vista Drive at 7 p.m. on June 25. No injuries were reported.
