Driver charged in crash that killed Annie Vu

Police have filed charges against the driver who crashed into a minivan on the beltway on Dec. 25, killing Annandale High School student Annie Vu and her grandmother, Su Nguyen, FFXnow reports.
Virginia State Police have charged Devin Juliana, 48, from Steubenville, Ohio, with reckless driving. More charges may be filed pending a toxicology report and approval by Fairfax County prosecutors.
The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on I-495 near the I-66 exit in the Idylwood area. The Vu family’s Toyota Sienna was struck by a Dodge Ram pickup truck that was going over 100 miles per hour. The truck crashed into the rear of the minivan, pushing it into the eastbound express lanes.

All five occupants of the minivan were transported to the hospital, where Annie Vu, age 15, and Su Nguyen, 75, died. Annie’s 12-year-old brother, Andy, a student at Holmes Middle School, sustained significant injuries and has been released from the hospital.

According to a report on NBC, Annie’s mother, Duy Cao, was driving six people home from a holiday dinner when the crash occurred.
“I don’t know how to live,” Cao said during the Channel 4 interview while sitting next to her husband, An Vu. Cao’s mother Su Nguyen helped raise the children while their parents worked.
Another family member said, “There will be no more Christmas now. They’re always going to come into this time of year thinking about what happened,” NBC4 reports.
The family wants Juliana tried for involuntary manslaughter, saying a misdemeanor charge isn’t enough. A GoFundMe campaign has already raised more than $71,000 for legal costs.
Outrageous the driver has not been charged with manslaughter – he was going over 100 mph! I hope the family gets justice.
Steve Descano is the current Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney, prosecutor. He determines what crimes will be prosecuted, and what charges to bring (what the evidence will support is key). THAT IS WHO TO PUSH ON FOR MANSLAUGHTER CHARGES! Steve has been supported by many liberal groups (which is their prerogative) and wealthy donors (Soros), because he has repeatedly denied prosecution of crimes committed in a vision to be more fair and equal. Steve is a committed social justice activist who is more interested racial and economic disparities than prosecuting crimes. Buy a cop a cup of coffee and get him/her talking and then you can hear the police officer’s frustration with the Steve’s approach to stopping criminals.
You got lost, this is the annandale today comments section not the fox news comments section.
Except he’s not wrong. So there’s that…
Thank you.
