Driver charged in fatal crash
The driver of a vehicle involved in a crash that killed three people in Annandale last winter was charged with failure to yield on a left turn, the Fairfax County Police Department announced Sept. 4.
Crash reconstruction detectives determined Tei Hu, 71, of Fairfax, the driver of a 2006 Lexus RX, was attempting to make a left turn onto westbound Braddock Road from Bradfield Drive on the morning of Feb. 4. His car was struck by a 2024 BMW X6 traveling eastbound on Braddock Road. Hu was served a summons and released.
Three of the occupants in the Lexus died as the result of the crash. Yun Hu, 72, of Annandale, was pronounced deceased at the hospital immediately after the crash. Hong Tang, 63, of Fairfax, and Yan Zhou, 68, of Burke, died days later.
