Early voting opens at satellite sites Oct. 23

Early voting for the Nov. 4 election opens at 13 satellite locations on Thursday, Oct. 23. That includes the Mason Government Center (6507 Columbia Pike) and Thomas Jefferson Library (7415 Arlington Boulevard). Â
This election is for statewide offices (governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general), members of the Virginia House of Delegates, and a Fairfax County school bond referendum.
Early voting is available at the satellite locations Oct. 23-Nov. 1, 1-7 p.m. Monday-Friday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays; and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26.
If you’re planning to vote on Election Day, Nov. 4, you can look up your polling place on the Virginia Department of Elections Citizen Portal.
The deadline to register to vote or update your registration is Oct. 24. If you miss the deadline, you can vote with a provisional ballot on Election Day or at one of the early voting sites beginning on Oct. 25.
The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is also Oct. 24. Apply for an absentee ballot here.
A total of 69,717 ballots have already been cast, the Office of Elections reports. That includes 30,740 absentee ballots returned by mail, 3,502 ballots deposited in drop boxes, and 35,475 votes cast early at the three voting locations that opened on Sept. 19.

Governor – Abigail Spanberger (D), Winsome Earle-Sears (R)
Lieutenant governor – Ghazala Hashmi (D), John Reid (R)
Attorney general – Jay Jones (D), Jason Myares (R)
House of Delegates, 14th District – Vivian Watts (D), Eric Johnson (R)
House of Delegates, 13th District – Marcus Simon (D), Sylvia Oleksy (R), Dave Crance (Libertarian).
School bond – Should Fairfax County issue a $460 million bond for school construction, renovation, and expansion projects?
