Eden Center celebrates 30th anniversary

The Eden Center celebrated its 30th anniversary Dec. 9 featured a lion and dance plus a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Good Fortune Supermarket. At 44,000 square feet, Good Fortune is the largest international grocery store inside the beltway.

“The Eden Center first opened its doors in 1984 and today is recognized as a major cultural tourist attraction and the ultimate Vietnamese shopping experience,” said Alan Frank, Eden Center vice president and general counsel.

Eden Center offers more than 115 restaurants, retailers, and service stores in a setting that showcases architectural designs reminiscent of historic and modern-day Saigon and avenues named for generals who served in the South Vietnamese Army.

The authentic Vietnamese cuisine available at the Eden Center ranges from popular dishes, like phở, bánh mì, and bubble tea, to more exotic fare. Some of the restaurants have been featured on Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations” on the Travel Channel and shows on the Food Network.
