Enjoy an afternoon with the dogs

Dogs and their human companions are invited to a Dog Days of Summer event Saturday, July 19, 1-4 p.m., at Annandale’s Eileen Garnett Civic Space, 7200 Columbia Pike.

Dogs will have fun running and playing on the great lawn, cooling off in the splash zones, testing their skills on an agility course, posing in the dog-friendly photo booth, and competing in a costume contest.

There will be tasty treats for both people and pets.

You don’t need to bring a dog to enjoy the canine hijinks and connect with your neighbors.

Dog Days of Summer is a free event hosted by the Fairfax County Community Revitalization Section. All well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.
