Master Gardeners are presenting free vegetable gardening tips this Saturday morning at eight community gardens across Fairfax County.

The gardening experts will be at Pine Ridge Park, 3401 Woodburn Road in Annandale, and Hogge Park, 3139 Glen Carlyn Road, Bailey’s Crossroads. Both sessions are 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on April 13.

Master Gardeners will distribute soil sample kits, provide analyses of plant and pest issues, and answer questions.

These garden clinics are offered by the Park Authority in collaboration with the Fairfax County Master Gardeners and the Virginia Cooperative Extension.

Master Gardeners will also offer gardening advice at the same locations on May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug. 10, and Sept. 14.

These free clinics are made possible through the Park Authority’s Community Garden Plot Rental Program managed by Green Spring Gardens. The county rents more than 700 garden plots in 10 parks to residents.
