Fireworks!

Fireworks shows celebrating Independence Day are scheduled this week at these locations:

Fairfax High School – July 4, 3501 Lion Run, Fairfax. Band performance starts at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Food trucks, shuttle buses from Woodson High School. Bag and cooler inspections. Road closures. Presented by the City of Fairfax. Rain date: July 5.

City of Vienna – July 2, Yeonas Park, 1319 Ross Drive, SW. Kids’ concert at 6 p.m.; band performs at 7:15. Fireworks at 9:30. Food trucks. Road closures.

National Mall – July 4, 9 p.m. Viewing areas on the National Mall near the Washington Monument and Reflecting Pool will be accessible only through secure access points with bag checks. Other viewing spots include the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, the White House Ellipse, and West Potomac Park.

Nationals Park – July 3. Fireworks after the Nationals vs. Tigers game, starting at 6:45 p.m.
