Here’s the Taste of Annandale schedule

Here’s the schedule for Taste of Annandale, this Saturday, Sept. 20. All events are on the stage at the Eileen Garnett Civic Space, 7200 Columbia Pike, unless noted otherwise.

9:30 a.m. – Taste of Annandale 5K, sponsored by RAMP Optimal Performance and Wellness, Mason District Park, 6621 Columbia Pike.

10:30 a.m. – Taste of Annandale opens, Eileen Garnett Civic Space, 7200 Columbia Pike

10:30 a.m. – Fairfax Connector shuttle bus service begins in front of Annandale High School, 4700 Medford Drive

10:30 a.m. – Children’s activities open at the ACCA Child Development Center playground.

10:30 a.m. – Matthew Lyttle, folk singer

11 a.m. – Animaldale Petting Zoo opens, on the lawn behind the garden

11 a.m. – Demonstration by the Seichou Karate Dojo

11:20 a.m. – Welcome remarks by Mason Supervisor Andres Jimenez

11:30 a.m. – Exercise routine by RAMP Optimal Performance and Wellness

11:50 a.m. – National Anthem and music by the Annandale High School band  

12 p.m. – Brief remarks by newly elected U.S. Rep. James Walkinshaw, state Sen. Dave Marsden, Del. Vivian Watts, and Braddock School Board member Rachna Sizemore Heizer.

12:20 p.m. – Selections from “Annie,” Annandale High School

12:30 p.m. – Bolivian dance performance

12:40 p.m. – Performance by International Dance

1 p.m. – Taste of Annandale Eating Contest

1:20 p.m. – Performance by the Northern Virginia branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

1:50 p.m. – Lion Dance by the Lac Long Quan Lion Dance Team

2:10 p.m. – Chili Cook-Off winners announced

2:15 p.m. – Seichou Karate Dojo 

2:20 p.m. – Salay Bolivian Dance

2:25 p.m. – Caity Rose and her band, indie folk artists

3:10 p.m. – Pet Parade and Costume Contest

4 p.m. – Selections from “Annie,” Annandale High School

4:10 p.m. – Korean street dance, JUB Korean Cultural Center

4:20 p.m. – Nusantara Budaya, Indonesian dance group

5 p.m. – Recharger, Korean rock band

6 p.m. – Taste of Annandale closes
