Justice Park tennis courts to get a makeover

The worn-out tennis courts at Justice Park in Seven Corners are finally getting an upgrade.
The Fairfax County Park Authority will begin reconstruction work on the courts early next week. The project includes “crack filling, birdbath levelling, new fencing, and a complete level construction repair to improve the playing surface and user experience.”
The work is expected to take five to six weeks, weather permitting.
During construction, the Park Authority warns, the adjacent basketball court and nearby trails might be affected by equipment staging and access needs.
Justice Park is located at 3312 Peace Valley Lane, across from Justice High School.
Other nearby tennis courts are at Spring Lane Park in Bailey’s Crossroads, Lillian Carey Park in Bailey’s Crossroads, John Mastenbrook – Greenway Downs Courts in Falls Church, Roundtree Park in Falls Church, Mason District Park in Annandale, and Kendale Woods Park in Annandale.
A court makeover is much needed and overdue. Thank you FFCO. Adding 2 more courts would really be the thing. I’ve heard that Justice HS may be the only Title 1 High School in FCPS, and it is one of the few schools that doesn’t have tennis courts sufficient for boys and girls HS tennis matches. We are always the away team.
Jeff, my son plays tennis for justice (his main sport) and this is much-needed as you mentioned. You also point out something that needs to be addressed. As you mentioned, we only have four courts at Justice whereas all the other schools in FCPS have at least six (only Title 1 High School in FCPS is correct; Falls Church is renovating theirs). We alternate practicing and playing between Justice and Mason District Park (play there for home matches) for court space.
Thank you so much for finally fixing up the tennis courts. It would be amazing if you can add two more courts and add lights. Football and baseball fields have lights, so why can’t tennis get the same respect.
Thanks,
