Korean cultural center opens in Annandale church

A new Korean cultural center was established recently at the Messiah Presbyterian Church of Washington, 4313 Markham St., Annandale. The center’s purpose is “to provide an introduction to the Korean culture for the Korean American community,” says Jin Young Kim. The center will host movies, classes, poetry readings, and discussions.

The cultural center is not the same thing as the proposed Korean community center, which has been under discussion among member of the local Korean community for the past few years. This center could be located in Annandale or another location in northern Virginia.
