Annual Korean festival postponed

Update: The KORUS Festival has been postponed to Oct. 4-5 due to a prediction of stormy weather next weekend.
The 2025 Korus Festival had been scheduled to bring live entertainment, food, and games to Annandale on May 17-18.
The annual event was planned for the K Market parking lot, 4251 John Marr Drive, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday, May 18.
Korean singer and actor Gwang-Hyun Park was expected to come from Korea to perform at the event. Park is the star of Mr. Trot 3, a Korean singing competition and has appeared on several other Korean TV shows.
Other performers include singer Jennifer Hong, the singer known as ESKM, K-pop dance crews, and pop and rock bands.
The event also included a KORUS Got Talent competition, a K-pop dance party, cultural performances, a taekwondo demonstration, a Senior Super Star competition, food, a
“Squid Game” contest with prizes, a job fair, crafts, a kids’ zone, business, and information booths.
KORUS is hosted by the Korean American Association of Greater Washington Metropolitan Area. The annual event is aimed at promoting positive Korean-U.S. relationships.
