  1. I see women jogging in my neighborhood really early and think – these are future victims. Worlds collide before 7 am… you have the go-getters walking dogs and jogging, and predators like this trash still prowling around. Women should avoid jogging or walking dogs before 7 am. It’s not safe anymore!

    1. Way to put the onus on women. Once again we are told that we are the ones who need to change our behaviors. We are told to change what we wear, who we speak to, where and when we can leave the house. How about telling these scumbag men not to touch women?! How about telling our police and community leaders to work to make this community safer for everyone? Instead women should sit in the house until the magic hour of 7:01am.

      1. There are things you can change, like your own behavior, that will make you safer. Then there are things you can’t change like worsening crime.

        1. You CAN change worsening crime. The answer to doing that is right in front of everybody’s face. We need to put the hammer down on these scum bags.

As for AnnandaleResident, it’s unfortunate that women need to fear for their safety during situations like the one described but that’s the reality of the world we live in now. You say “how about telling men not to touch women” — I’m sorry but criminals don’t listen to what society tells them. They need to go away for a long time and learn by example the hard way. I said it in my comment before and I’ll say it again… I hope the prosecutor BURIES this clown.

  2. In other news … police fail to enforce basic parking laws and allow formerly safe secure neighborhoods like north Springfield to rapidly decline into a giant housing project for illegal immigrants and their 25 “”relatives”” packed into a 3 bedroom house – tons of cars parked on street parked in grass broken down in driveway — open air drug den on Heming and Axton where kids have to walk and cross street for school… police sit on a-s in car day after day and refuse to write a single ticket! Or just run plates. That is a future accident or crime waiting to happen.

    1. I hear you, but I don’t blame the police. We’ve told them that they are bad and overzealous and racist. This is the police showing us what it’s like to basically live without them. And this is the behavior you get when you tell scumbags nothing is their fault. Hundreds of years of civilized society and millions dead in wars, and this is how quickly it all begins to unravel. And the situation is getting worse, and worse, and worse.
Unlike some of my neighbors —I believe my own eyes.
