A clerk at the 7-Eleven at 3337 Glen Carlyn Drive, Bailey’s Crossroads, was assaulted by a man who tried to rob the store. 
The suspect entered the store at around 3:30 p.m. on March 27 and asked customers for money and cigarettes. He tried to steal merchandise, and when a clerk tried to stop him, he hit the clerk in the face.

Police are asking the community if they can identify the suspect, who is described as Hispanic, 25 to 35 years old, 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 10 inches tall, and 175 to 185 pounds.
