Man dies after being shot at the Eden Center

There was a homicide at the Eden Center in the early hours of Friday, Sept. 11, the City of Falls Church Police Department reports.
Police responded to a 911 call about a shooting at the Diva Lounge at 6753 Wilson Blvd. in Seven Corners shortly after midnight. They found a male victim deceased from a gunshot wound.
Witnesses to the incident report the suspect shot the victim then fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 30s, with dark hair. He was wearing black shorts and a blue polo shirt. According to the police, there is no camera or video footage of the suspect available at this time.
While this incident remains an active criminal investigation, police believe there is no continuing threat to the community.

In other crime news, the Fairfax County Police Department reports there was a robbery on Sept. 11, 2 a.m., in the 3800 block of S. George Mason Drive, Bailey’s Crossroads. The victim was standing outside when he was approached by two men. One of the men displayed a handgun and took personal property. The victim was not injured, and the men drove away.
There was a vehicle pursuit incident in Seven Corners on Sept. 5. An officer attempted to stop a red Mercury sedan for a traffic violation shortly after 1 a.m. on Patrick Henry Drive/Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners.
The driver refused to stop, resulting in a pursuit. Johslin Lopez Rodas, 31, of Falls Church, was charged with no operator’s license, speeding, and eluding.
