Man shoots his mother in Seven Corners

A man shot his mother, then shot himself at the Woodlake Towers Condominium on Arlington Boulevard in Seven Corners this afternoon.

Both the victim and suspect remain hospitalized, the Fairfax County Police Department tweeted. The mother’s injuries have been upgraded to non-life-threatening. According to a report on Fox5 News, the mother called 911 saying she had been shot in the arm, body, and leg. Police recovered a .22 caliber handgun in the apartment.
