Martial arts instructor arrested for sexually assaulting a minor

Millir

Fairfax County Police are seeking information from the public regarding a martial arts instruction arrested for assaulting a 13-year-old girl this summer at a combination summer camp/martial arts school.

The investigation began in August when detectives received a phone call from the girl’s parents after their daughter told them she had been assaulted by Randon Millir.

According to police, Millir, then 27, of Fairfax, was an instructor at a martial arts school in the 6300 block of Columbia Pike in Falls Church. That would most likely be UMS Martial Arts, at 6349 Columbia Pike in the Barcroft Plaza shopping center.

Millir had inappropriate physical contact with the girl in the latter part of July during the summer camp, then maintained contact with her through calls to her cell phone, FCPD reports. Millir was fired when school officials learned of the accusations.

Detectives were able to develop sufficient information and obtained warrants on Nov. 16, charging Millir with taking indecent liberties with a minor and carnal knowledge of a minor. He turned himself in at the Adult Detention Center on Nov. 27.  He is being held on no bond.

Anyone who had children at the summer camp/martial arts school during June and July with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective M. Hengemuhle of the FCPD Major Crimes Division, at 703-246-3086.

You can also contact Crime Solvers, 866-411-TIPS/8477, text “TIP187” plus your message to CRIMES/274637, or call Fairfax County Police, 703-691-2131.

In other crime news, a woman was the victim of a “strong-arm robbery” in a parking lot at Little River Turnpike and Manitoba Road in the Lincolnia area at about 3:15 p.m. on Nov. 29, FCPD reports.

She was grabbed from behind by a man who demanded money. The victim and suspect struggled and he fled. She did not see a weapon, but sustained minor cuts and scratches and was treated at a local hospital.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 30-35 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a medium build, and a goatee and mustache. He was wearing a black sweatshirt.

    1. Well I am happy that FCPD nailed the piece of garbage. I just keep asking why are we having such a spike of this in Mason District?

  2. Wow, I had my children enrolled at UMS at one point. Something felt off about the remaining instructors after the 3 best ones left. I'm glad I took my kids out when I did. This guy was kind of sketchy but nowhere near as sketchy as the owner…glad then got him in time.

  3. My friend's kid said the owner didn't even send a letter home about this until it made the news yesterday!!!! Be aware!

    1. That doesn't mean he isn't capable of molesting someone. I'm sorry for you and Millir's family, but if your friend is found guilty, justice needs to be served.
