Meet Del. Kory and other candidates
Kory, a Democrat, represents the 38th District in the House of Delegates, which includes a large portion of Annandale and the Mason District. She is up for re-election Nov. 5. The Republicans are not running a candidate in the 38th District, but James L. “Jim” Leslie is running as an Independent Green. Leslie also ran against Kory in 2011, when he got 23 percent of the vote.
Here’s the schedule for Kory’s upcoming neighborhood sessions:
- Monday, Oct. 14 (Columbus Day), 5-7 p.m.—hosted by Laurie and Brian Lindberg, 4205 Webster Court, Annandale, 22003.
- Friday, Oct. 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m.—hosted by Marie Reinsdorf, 6709 Kerns Road, Falls Church 22042.
- Sunday, Oct. 20, 3-5 p.m.—hosted by Diana King, 4901 Montgomery St., Annandale 22003.
- Sunday, Oct. 27, 3-5 p.m.—hosted by Jessica Swanson, 3154 Patrick Henry Drive, Falls Church 22044.
This event, sponsored by the Mason District Council of Community Associations and the League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area, will include candidates for Fairfax County sheriff Stacy Kincaid (D), Christopher DeCarlo (I), Bryan Wolfe (R), and Robert Rivera (I).
Other House of Delegates candidates expected to appear are Vivian Watts (D), the incumbent in the 39th District; Alfonso Lopez (D), the incumbent in the 49th district, and his opponent Terrence Modglin (Independent Greens); and candidates in the 53rd District Marcus Simon (D), W. Brad Tidwell (R), and Anthony Tellez (Libertarian).
