Metro is reopening 15 stations on Sunday, June 28. The stations had been closed since March to conserve critical cleaning supplies during the coronavirus pandemic.
In addition, three stations on the Orange and Silver lines – East Falls Church, McLean, and Greensboro – will be open for shuttle bus service only, due to the ongoing platform reconstruction at East Falls Church.
The 15 stations that are reopening are:
Archives, Clarendon, Cheverly, Cleveland Park, College Park, Eisenhower Avenue, Federal Center, Federal Triangle, Grosvenor-Strathmore, Judiciary Square, Morgan Boulevard, Mt. Vernon Square, Smithsonian, Van Dorn Street, and Virginia Square.
In addition, selected entrances will reopen at Anacostia, Farragut North, Dupont Circle, Metro Center, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, U Street, Gallery Place-Chinatown, Friendship Heights, and L’Enfant Plaza.
After June 28, the Arlington Cemetery station will be the only Metrorail station closed without regular service, as the cemetery remains closed to the public.
Beginning on Monday, June 29, buses will be added to 14 of the busiest Metrobus lines to provide more capacity and more frequent service as the region reopens.

Metro is also temporarily suspending service on four routes with extremely low ridership.
None of the expanded or suspended routes serve the Annandale/Mason District area.
Metro has not set a date for reopening the four Orange Line stations shut for platform work. There is free shuttle service between those stations and the Ballston station.

Construction crews are removing tiles from the platforms, mezzanines, and pedestrian bridges, and creating new concrete planform edges.
The parking lot at the East Falls Church station is closed, and the kiss and ride area is available for pick-up and drop-off only. The other three stations have free parking.
