‘Mulch madness’ supports graduating seniors

The PTSAs at all three high schools in the Annandale/Mason area are selling mulch to support all-night graduation celebrations for the Class of 2016. These parties provide a fun, safe, alcohol-free environment for seniors on graduation night.

The Stuart High School PTSA  is selling mulch for $5.50 per bag. Orders must be placed by midnight on Sunday, March 27.


Customers can pick up their bags at the school on April 2, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Delivery within the Stuart school zone to customers’ driveway is $25 or free with an order of 30 bags or more.

Order mulch online and pay with a credit card or PayPal or print the order form and mail it with a check made out to “JEB Stuart HS PTSA” to PTSA Treasurer; JEB Stuart High School; 3301 Peace Valley Lane, Falls Church, VA  22044.

Mulch ordered from the Falls Church High School PTSA is also $5.50 per bag. Curb delivery is free with a purchase of 15 bags or more and the customer lives within a five-mile radius of the school.

Orders are due March 28, and pickup is at the school April 2, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Order online or print an order form and send it with a check to: Falls Church High School, 7521 Jaguar Trail, Falls Church, VA 22042. The Annandale High School PTSA’s mulch sale has a 10-bag minimum for delivery. Bags are $5 each if delivered to your driveway, and $4.50 each if you pick them up at the school. The order deadline is April 10, and the pickup and delivery date is April 16. Download an order form here.

Mulch bags being sold by all three schools are three cubic feet. One cubic yard (10 bags) covers 100 square feet spread 2-3 inches deep. A typical order for a single-family home is 10-15 bags.
