Bloomingdales’ plans to open a new store concept, called Bloomie’s, in the Mosaic District Aug. 26, the company announced.
According to a July 7 press release, Bloomie’s will be “a smaller, highly curated, ever-evolving store concept filled with top brands, a new tech-enabled stylist service model, and a vibrant restaurant experience.”

The store will contain a branch of the Colada Shop, a D.C. chain offering Cuban cocktails, coffee, and snacks.
The 22,000-square-foot Bloomie’s store will feature “advanced, contemporary, and luxury fashion brands” for women and men, along with beauty products, shoes, handbags, intimates, activewear, eyewear, and fine jewelry.
There will be fresh deliveries multiple times a week, so “customers will find something new with every visit,” the company states.
Bloomie’s customers will have access to personal stylists with digital access to special finds from all Bloomingdale’s stores.

Special pre-opening activities will be planned throughout August, along with festivities during the week of the grand opening on Aug. 26. The schedule will be announced here.
In other news at Mosaic, the shopping center has installed a temporary rollerskating rink, called Skateland, on Strawberry Lane through Sept. 26.
How come they get a bloomies and we can barely get better than the dollar store in Baileys?
