New hotel planned for Seven Corners

You might have noticed a small wooded lot at the intersection of Arlington Boulevard and South Street close to the tall BB&T buildings at Seven Corners. As soon as the developer, Baywood Hotels, gets the financing worked out, construction will start on a new Hampton Inn and Suites on that spot.

The new hotel would be eight stories tall and have 160 rooms. It would be a “by right” development, and thus would be permitted under current zoning for that property.
