New restaurant in the works
A restaurant/carryout place called Pelicana Chicken is
planned for the vacant storefront at 4219 John Marr Drive, Annandale, in
between The Block and a wonderful little gem of a Korean bakery.
Pelicana is a Korea-based fried chicken franchise company, with two locations in New York, one in New Jersey and many in Korea, China, and other locations in Asia.

The new
restaurant is going into the space formerly occupied by The Amore, a cosmetics
shop that opened more than 10 years ago and closed this summer.

Baja Bistro is just down the street at 6920 G Bradlick shopping center & it's better than Chipotle!!!

I’ve been going to Korean restaraunts in Annandale for 9 years and have yet to have a negative experience, or think them unwelcoming.
A competitor to Bon Chon and Cheogajip chicken wings, I can live with that! Don't even talk about Glory Days, Korean wings > American wings.
This is great news by the way, the more traffic they drive in there by adding to the block, the better. What’s the name of the bakery you mention?
The sign says "Baked with Love." It's listed in Yelp as "Korean Bakery."
I love fried chicken, can't wait to try it. Does having fried chicken in our neighborhood constitute being a ghetto?
Koreans have perfected the art of deep frying chicken wings. If it means it gives BonChon a run for its money, well hell, we all win! BRING ON THE DOPE FRIED CHICKEN!
Adam Goldberg and Ellie Ashford, the bakery is called Goryo Bakery despite its Yelp name and what its website says. Goryo Bakery is what the green, oval sign says above the door.
