Two new businesses are coming to the Crossroads Place Shopping Center in Bailey’s Crossroads – Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings and Fortunoff Backyard Store.

The companies just signed leases with the owner, Levin Management Corp., so it’s too soon to set opening dates, says Sandy Crisafulli of Caryl Communications.

Fortunoff Backyard Store sells outdoor furniture, patio dining sets, fire pits, heaters, outdoor lighting, indoor and outdoor décor, and Christmas items. The store will move into a 17,800-square-foot space formerly occupied by Office Depot at 3536 S. Jefferson Street.

Fortunoff has 35 locations, all on the East Coast. This will be the first one in Virginia.

Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings specializes in made-to-order cheesesteaks, gourmet fries, real-fruit lemonades, and classic and boneless wings.

It will open in a 2,100-square-foot storefront that previously housed a Virginia ABC store on Leesburg Pike.

After more than 35 years of operation, the Charleys brand has grown to over 700 locations worldwide. The franchise founder, Charley Shinn, opened the first restaurant on the campus of Ohio State University.

  1. Living in Falls Church last two years in Hillwood section…. Started using baileys Crossroads but very much needs an upgrade to be inviting … like a vast asphalt parking lot …. Needs lots planters, seasonal flower beds, seasonal flags grass areas, benches for gathering etc like they do at vast outlets .

    1. Absolutely no reason for the owner of this center to add amenities as described. The place is almost totally leased and stable. Anyway, are you going to go there more often and sit on a bench in front of Burlington and look at the seasonal flags? I’d be enthused about some shade trees and maybe some green area to support stormwater management, but even with that can’t imagine hanging out at a strip mall.

  2. It doesn’t need benches. The homeless would take them over. I go to Baileys to get my items and leave. Not everything has to be Disneyfied.

  3. Sounds good. About time for a switch-a-roo, bringing in a different style of store is a positive for the diverse communities here

      1. Diversity = crime in your racist little mind?

Why dont you move to some crappy town in West VA that ls 100% white and has a higher crime rate than anywhere in Nova. I’m sure you’ll fit in better.
