Comunidad, a local nonprofit and community development organization based in the Willston Multicultural Center in Seven Corners, opened a second location at Kingsley Commons in Falls Church on Nov. 19.

The new Kingsley Learning Center will initially focus on computer literacy and English language classes for adults.

Communidad decided to start with those activities “after months of door-knocking and community listening sessions,” said Executive Director Maralee Gutierrez at the ribbon-cutting. Other adult programming requested by Kingsley Commons residents will be added later.

The organization equips and engages local community leaders in the Falls Church and Seven Corners area. It offers programs for children ages 5 and up, teens, and adults.

The Arlington Boulevard Community Development Organization is also based at Kingsley Commons.
