Park Authority to upgrade lighting at Wakefield Park

The Fairfax County Park Authority announced plans May 25 to upgrade the lighting for the tennis courts, skate park, and basketball courts at Wakefield Park in Annandale. 

The project will start the week of June 14. Lights for the skate park and basketball courts will be turned off by the end of June and will be turned on by mid-July. The tennis court lights will be turned off in early July and turned on in early September.

The courts can still be used during the day if not blocked by construction. Part of the parking lot will be blocked off for a contractor staging area.
