Police seek burglary suspects
Fairfax County police detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects who burglarized a home in Annandale.
On Dec. 27, at about 2:45 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Elm Terrace in Holmes Run Acres for a burglary alarm. A resident reported seeing two suspects enter her home on surveillance cameras. After she activated an audible alarm, the suspects fled before the police arrived.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Mason Police Station at 703-256-8035 and ask to speak with a detective. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Solvers.
Home owners literally hand the police pictures of the criminal and the car … and they still can’t catch the bad guys. Given social media facial tagging; plate readers; toll road cameras; and tracking on every mobile device … yet still no dice. Fairfax is basically a crime magnet.
If I was a cop, I wouldn’t care either. I would not risk my life for people that want to defund me and won’t allow me to chase fleeing criminals. Why bother? I’d rather sit in an empty parking lot.
It’s their job…
These are house cleaning crews. Even when legit, they take photos of any sensitive info they can find in a home while cleaning. unfortunately, there are crews in our area usually in a personal vehicle, Matyland plates from PG county? … they case out the homes, take PII, and pass it to their syndicate bosses. Many months later you see credit card activity, stolen checks, hijacked phones. They operate w impunity because they can – police are useless. Too busy scanning plates?
