Police seek restaurant burglars
Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects connected to a series of burglaries at restaurants in Lincolnia, Seven Corners, Bailey’s Crossroads, and other locations.
The first burglary was reported at a Taco Bamba in Springfield on July 13. Employees arriving for work that morning discovered damage to the front door and found that the cash register had been stolen.
Since then, detectives have been investigating a series of overnight burglaries in which suspects have been captured on surveillance footage using rocks or cinderblocks to shatter glass entry doors and gain access to restaurants. The burglars stole cash drawers and safes, then fled in a vehicle.
Police believe the same suspects are responsible for the following burglaries:
- July 13 – Taco Bamba, 6691 Backlick Road, Springfield.
- Aug. 29 – Chipotle, 6242 Little River Turnpike, Lincolnia (attempted burglary).
- Aug. 29 – Quickway, 6242 Little River Turnpike, Lincolnia.
- Aug. 29 – America’s Best Wings, 6242 Little River Turnpike, Lincolnia.
- Sept. 8 – America’s Best Wings, 7742 Richmond Highway, Lorton.
- Sept. 8 – America’s Best Wings, 7696 Richmond Highway, Groveton.
- Sept. 9 – Flame Japanese Hibachi, 6379 Seven Corners Center, Seven Corners.
- Sept. 9 – KPOT, 6249 Seven Corners Center, Seven Corners.
- Oct. 8 – Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar, 3539 S. Jefferson St., Bailey’s Crossroads.
