Police seek suspects in ABC thefts
Fairfax County Police detectives are investigating three groups of suspects committing a series of thefts at Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority stores throughout the county.
The crews load carts with unpaid alcohol and flee before police arrive. Detectives are seeking help from the community to identify members of the crews.
Crew #1 is responsible for thefts at the ABC store in the 3500 block of S. Jefferson Street in Bailey’s Crossroads on July 2 and July 16 and the ABC in the 5000 block of Burke Centre Parkway in Fairfax Station on July 4.
Crew #2 hit the ABC store in the 3500 block of S. Jefferson Street on July 2 and the ABC in the 5900 block of Richmond Highway in Huntington on July 25.
Police arrested one of the three members of crew #2, on Aug. 2. Lonnell Jennings, 26, of Washington, D.C., was charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen property with intent to sell, conspiracy to commit larceny, and petit larceny. Jennings is being held at the Adult Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.

Crew #3, consisting of one individual, hit the ABC store in the 7200 block of Little River Turnpike in Annandale on July 19 and July 26, the ABC in the 8400 block of Old Courthouse Road in Tysons on Aug. 1, and the ABC in the 7100 block of Leesburg Pike in Dunn Loring on Aug. 13.

In July, Fairfax County Police charged an adult and three juveniles with a series of thefts at ABC stores throughout the county, including Bailey’s Crossroads and Lincolnia.
