Pop Up District to open next month at the Eden Center
The Pop Up District at the Eden Center in Seven Corners will open the second week of January, says owner Jay Tran.
It’s a collection of vendors with an open seating area, like The Block in Annandale.
The venue will have these vendors:
- Honey Pig Cup Bop – an offshoot of the Honey Pig restaurant in Annandale.
- Eatsy – Thai street food.
- Sun-C – Vietnamese food.
- The Beat – a bakery with soft-serve ice cream.
- Doppo – a coffee shop with banh mi.
- Soul Bar – a full bar with cocktails.
- Haru Film – a photo booth with various backgrounds, including celebrities.
The Pop Up District will also offer booth spaces for short-term leases – three days to one week – to emerging entrepreneurs who want to test out their products, says Tran, who also owns the TeaDM café at the Eden Center.
The concept is aimed at people selling clothing, packaged food, or other items and aren’t ready to open a store. Interested vendors can apply here.
The Pop Up District will have 200 seats and high-speed internet. Tran anticipates people spending the day working there remotely and taking breaks for breakfast and lunch.
The Pop Up District will be open 7 a.m.-2 a.m.
After it’s open for about a month, it will have a DJ on Thursday-Saturday nights and a singer on Wednesday nights.
