Pottery Barn is coming to the Mosaic District in Merrifield, Fairfax County building records confirm.

It will be located in a ground-floor space in the Target building at 2905 District Avenue adjacent to Lee Highway.

Pottery Barn is expected to open this summer. The chain specializes in furniture, bedding, tableware, and home décor. There are Pottery Barn stores in Tysons, Clarendon, and Fair Oaks.

Previous tenants in that 15,200-square-foot space include Neiman Marcus Last Call, which closed in 2019, and GreatGatherings, which closed in 2020.

The building is owned by Target Corp. Its total assessed value is $47.17 million, according to Fairfax County tax records. Pottery Barn is owned by Williams Sonoma Inc.

At Mosaic, the store will be competing with West Elm a few blocks away, which offers similar items.
