Quiet times at the Mosaic District

Strawberry Park is closed.

Most restaurants at the Mosaic District are offering takeout only, with only a few allowing inside dining, as the coronavirus pandemic sweeps the nation and social distancing rules are in place.

There are only a few shops still open, but Mosaic isn’t a ghost town, as there were a fair number of people walking around on Saturday afternoon. Mom’s Organic Market and Target were still open and seemed to be pretty busy.

Plenty of street parking available.

Just a handful of restaurants were open for indoor dining, including Chipotle, District Dumplings, Iron Chef House, Sisters, and Ted’s Bulletin.

BGR, Cheestique, Dolcezza, Four Sisters, Le Pain Quotidien, and MacMillan Whisky Room are temporarily closed. Brine and Cyclone Anaya’s have closed permanently.

These resaurants have closed their dining rooms and are offering takeout and delivery only: Alta Strada, Bartaco, B Side, Cava, Choolah, 520 Ice Cream & Tea, Jinya Ramen Bar, Matchbox,  Nando Peri Peri, Oath Pizza, Parc de Ville, Red Apron, Sweetgreen, and True Food.

Aside from Target and Mom’s, the only stores that are open are Arielle Shoshana, Barnes & Noble, Francesca’s, Loyal Companion, Swirl & Sip (curbside pickup and delivery only), and Wee Chic (appointment only).

Among entertainment venues, Angelika Film Center and Bad Axe Throwing are temporarily closed.

Leon is slated to open next to Cava.

There are signs up announcing several new places coming to Mosaic, including Leon USA (healthy fast food), Mason Reed Color Bar (hair salon), Pupatella (pizza), Urban Hot Pot (personalized all-you-can-eat hot pot), Gyu Shige (Korean barbecue), and the Granola Bar.

All events in the Mosaic District are cancelled through May 11.
