  1. These reports are very disturbing. I would like to see Penny Gross, Steve Descano, and the new police chief hold a press conference to explain what they are doing to curb crime in the Mason District.

  2. Now why would a 19y/o from DC want to be in Annandale???? Solve this mystery and you solve a lot of crime issues. Is there an attraction in Annandale that would attract a 19 y/o to drive or ride a bus to Annandale and then commit a crime? Do the owners of said “attractions” have any interest in the Annandale residential community? Answer = no. They live elsewhere and use Annandale as their personal crime playground. Can it be stopped with proper zoning, planning, community engagement, and removal of elected officials — hard to say.

  5. Your last paragraph is highly political, antisemitic, and thus inappropriate for this platform. Please retract it. In particular, what evidence do you have that Steve Descano is funded by Soros? Do you know that that comment is antisemitic? Such a comment has no place in the Annandale Today Newsletter. I’m saddened that a neighbor of mine holds such beliefs.
