Restaurant/carryout business coming to Annandale

The vacant building at 7109 Columbia Pike in Annandale has been leased to a restaurant/carryout business, according to a building permit filed with Fairfax County.

That building has been vacant since Tobacco Luxe closed at the end of 2023.

  1. Permit shows as submitted for Columbia Pike Coffee. Might be drowning in Coffee Shops and Cafe’s soon, but there are worse problems to have.

  2. What is sorely needed – and might work in this location – is a quiet simple restaurant serving simple American food – lunch and dinner (or breakfast and lunch) at affordable prices. Give me a chicken salad sandwich with lettuce, tomato, pickle slice and chips for $7.50. Provide a few newspapers for customers to read and have CNBC run in the opposite corner of the restaurant. Outfit it with comfortable booths to maximize seatinng along the walls. A cozy place where people can meet and talk. Silverado and Juke Box are too noisy – and too pricey for many people these days.
